Dr Bill Cooper
After the Flood Revised Edition - Bill Cooper

'After The Flood' 2nd Edition
Now Revised and Expanded

Dr Bill Cooper - B.A. Hons, Phd. Thd.

This popular book lays out the astonishing evidence showing how the earliest Europeans recorded their descent from Noah through Japheth in meticulously kept records, knew about Creation and the Flood, and had encounters with creatures we would call dinosaurs. These records from other nations lend chapters 10 and 11 of Genesis a degree of accuracy that sets them apart from all other historical documents of the ancient world.

This updated and expanded edition has an extra chapter on historically attested dinosaurs, plus a dozen coloured illustrations of dinosaurs from sculptures, paintings, a ship’s figurehead and ancient seals.

The Authenticity of the Book of Judges - Bill Cooper

The Authenticity of the New Testament - Part 2

Dr Bill Cooper - B.A. Hons, Phd. Thd.

The critics of the Bible claim that Acts was not written by Luke, but is a 2nd century composition based on oral traditions. Similarly, the letters of 2 Peter and Jude should be excluded from the canon of Scripture. Dr Cooper gives us extra-biblical evidences to show that the whole of the New Testament was written and in circulation during the eye-witness period of AD 30 to 70. There is archaeological evidence such as inscriptions on stone referring to men named in the Book of Acts. There are documents such as the fragment of Revelation on a 1st century papyrus, and several fragments of other New Testament books, including 2 Peter, found in cave 7 near the Dead Sea, a cave sealed by the Roman military in AD 68.

Here we learn about Roman laws of adoption, explaining why Saul of Tarsus changed his name to Paul, enabling him to appeal to Caesar. This book concludes with an appendix showing how the Codex Sinaiticus, claimed by the critics to be the oldest and most accurate version of the Bible, is actually a 19th century forgery. Sadly, it has since influenced most modern versions of the Holy Bible. Footnotes and an extensive bibliography enable the reader to delve further into the remarkable facts that this volume unearths.

New Testament Fragments amongst the Dead Sea Scrolls - Bill Cooper

New Testament Fragments amongst the Dead Sea Scrolls.

Dr Bill Cooper - B.A. Hons, Phd. Thd.

In 1955 there were discovered several papyrus fragments in Qumran Cave 7. The unusual – and unexpected – feature of Cave 7 was that all of its fragments were in Greek, as opposed to the exclusively Hebrew and Aramaic scrolls that had been found in the other caves. Apart from two of the fragments which were from the Greek version of the Old Testament (Exodus and the apocryphal Letter of Jeremiah), the rest of the fragments from Cave 7 were all catalogued as unidentified, and were considered indeed to be unidentifiable.

That’s how things remained until 1972, when the papyrologist, Dr José O’Callaghan, thought that he would try to identify them. They were housed at the Rockefeller Museum in Jerusalem, and in April 1972 he was able to do a hands-on examination of each of them and to take a series of infra-red and other photographs. What he discovered concerning them was to shock the academic world – the fragments belonged to books of the New Testament.

The Forging of Codex Sinaiticus - Bill Cooper

The Forging of Codex Sinaiticus.

Dr Bill Cooper - B.A. Hons, Phd. Thd.

Next only to the King James Bible, Codex Sinaiticus is by now perhaps the most famous (many would say infamous) book in the world. Its impact when it surfaced in the mid 19th century was immediate, and even today is powerfully felt in the world of Bible scholarship. That is because it is pretended to represent a version of our Bible which is quite unlike the Received Text, and is trumpeted abroad as representing the original text of the Bible before the Protestant church and its bishops got their political hands on it, changing it into the Bible that we know today.

It is also wrongly claimed to be the oldest and the best manuscript of the Bible, representing a text to which all others – especially the Received Text – are to be referred. In other words, whenever Sinaiticus differs from the Received Text – which is shockingly often – then its readings are to be held superior to all others and preferred before them all. The impact of this upon Christian doctrine, and especially upon the question of the Bible’s integrity and Authority, has been immense, and it continues to shipwreck the faith of millions.

So, where did this strange book come from? Who wrote it, and why? Under what circumstances did they write it? These are all questions which we hope to answer in this examination of the subject. Until very recently, the task had been insurmountable.
